Covenant membership is a commitment to one another—a willing pledge to guard, care, submit, support, and minister together for the building up of our church body. Joining the covenant community at Five Points is a public expression of your commitment to fulfill the 44 "one another" commands found in the New Testament and is an integral part of our witness to the world around us.
Becoming A Member:
Step 1: Express interest
You can do this by contacting the church office. A note will be made indicating you have expressed interest in becoming a member. Someone will then let you know when the next membership seminar will be taking place.
Step 2: Attend a membership seminar
These classes cover the basics of what we believe here at Five Points including a Biblical definition of membership. Seminars are offered four times a year typically from 7-10pm on a Wednesday evening.
Step 3: Meet for an Elder interview
Upon completing the membership seminar, a pastor will be contacting you to schedule an appointment with two elders.
Step 4: Agree with Five Points Covenant Of Faith
Our covenant can be found on the website or in print at the welcome center.
Step 5: Be confirmed at a member’s meeting
Our church bylaws require that new members be approved by the current membership, but this isn’t as painful as it may seem.
