What is Camp Barakel anyway? Camp Barakel is place that the truths of God are proclaimed and Christ is exalted in a camp environment. Camp activities are fun and exciting, creating memories and friendships that can last a lifetime.
Why should you send your child to Camp Barakel this summer? To experience God and His creation in ways that will create memories that can last a lifetime! Camp is a safe and active environment that allows your child to associate with others their own age, learning scriptural truths taught by the speakers and lived out by their counselors. There are many outdoor activities that the kids can do along with many indoor activities as well. Outdoor activities are set up in a progressive manner, kids will progress by age from the Thunder Express to the Blob and the older kids get to enjoy the Zip Line.
Camp weeks are set up by grade according to the grade they will be entering in the coming fall 2011 school year. The summer schedule can be found at www.campbarakel.org or you can call Barakel at (989)848-2279.
Younger elementary campers enjoy a jam-packed week of playing games, swimming, having fun, and learning more about God's word in chapel. Junior High campers get to enjoy the blob while swimming, mountain biking, a night under the stars, and all kinds of crazy games. Chapel times proclaim the truths of God's word and change kids lives. High School campers have a week packed full of fun and the excitement of all of the activities that camp has to offer with challenging Chapels and group discussions.
